New Season = New Challenges

Every time the seasons change there are new obstacles to overcome. Fall brings changes in temperature, new foods in season, Football Season begins and new shows start up on tv. Are you one of those people that did great in the summer with your healthy living plan, but when cooler weather hits you abandon all those habits you created and fall into cheese dip and beer while watching your favorite football teams. When the weather changes the other big obstacle is allergies. Fall can be tough on people that suffer from allergies such as mold and ragweed. If your body is full of processed junk then it is inflamed and not able to fight off the histamine reaction your body has to protect itself. If you are eating more nutrient rich foods, getting adequate sleep, staying hydrated and building muscle then you are better armed to keep the effects of the environment far away from you. Certain foods are better at fighting the fall allergies than others. Eating foods that are natural antihistamines such as apples, onion, and garlic are a great way to feel better by using food as medicine. Start using food the way nature intended.
